The mukhawara design comes from a circa 1978-1980 piece owned by ‘Inayah bint Salih al Muhairi, the wife of the late Al Said Abdullah al Hashmi, the director of private affairs for the founding father of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan. and gifted to The Zay. The piece has been photo scanned and printed on soft tulle fabric to create a modern and progressive future mukhawara top.
